History
The Sack family’s strong tradition in the energy market began in 1902, when Harris Sack serviced the families of Hartford with horse-pulled wagons and sleighs for home delivery of coal. Over the next 40 years, the company helped heat area homes by supplying coal and later, oil.
In the 1940s, the family business shifted from retail sales to wholesale. Sack expanded into multiple terminals in the 1960s and has continued to grow into the largest infrastructure of terminals in Connecticut.
Today, the company handles a multitude of products for commercial and industrial energy needs. Sack Energy will continue to provide energy products and grow the family business for future generations.
